To create her ghostly, floating ponies, Pelletier employed the technique of coating woollen strands in molten latex and tar, and spreading (or weaving) it sparsely over a premoulded figure of a horse. Once the tar and latex had hardened, the wire-form ‘skeleton’ was then removed from the moulding, leaving nothing but the empty black skeletal forms which were to haunt the exhibition – in menacing 3-d.

        I would have liked to see some info, maybe even one line that says “click image for more info”? Maybe I’m just being silly, but I wouldn’t have thought of clicking on the image

      • I’m on it. It does seem a little cryptic now you mention it. Thanks! I’ve just dumped a whole bunch of articles on the site today, I shall add some info to the currently confusing array of seemingly meaningless images. 🙂
